Jim Redgate Classical Guitars -

Redgate Guitars are of uncompromising quality and are handmade to the highest standard. Advancements in acoustic design and construction are employed to produce guitars with greatly increased response when compared to traditional instruments.


 

The use of high tech materials allow the weight of the soundboard to be reduced without affecting the strength. This, when combined with the careful selection and matching of the finest aged timbers available, result in a guitar which possesses exceptional balance with a rich powerful tone 

Only the best wood available is used in the construction of a Redgate Guitar. Aged Brazilian Rosewood is used for the back and sides of the instrument while Tasmanian Blackwood which makes fine guitars and can be substituted if desired. Tight grain AAA Cedar or Spruce is used for the soundboard, Spanish Cedar for the neck and Black Ebony for the fingerboard. The neck is truss rod reinforced for stability and to allow adjustment for perfect string action. The fingerboard and neck are designed  ease of playing.
